When Serving God Almighty

Acts 12:1-25
  • God sometimes allows the untimely death of His servants (v. 1-4). Psalm 2:1-4; Revelation 6:9-11
    • Those who teach that it is always God’s will to deliver us from sickness, tragedy, and death are mistaken.
    • God does not love us less when He allows tragedy into our lives. Romans 8:38-39
    • We need to view death from God’s eternal perspective, not from our temporal perspective.
  • God can easily deliver you from impossible situations (v. 5-19). Psalm. 4:8; Philippians 4:11-13
    • God is most praised when you are the most helpless. 2 Corinthians 12:8-9
    • God often waits until the eleventh hour to deliver. 1 Peter 5:8-9
    • God works through your prayers.
  • God can easily remove the most powerful and proud leaders (v. 20-23). Isaiah 42:8; James 4:6; Daniel 4:28-37
  • God’s gospel cannot be stopped by any opposition (v. 24-25).
