When God Sends You

Acts 13:1-12

 
In Preparation for your Mission 

• Let the Holy Spirit initiate and direct your mission. v. 2; 1 Corinthians 12:11
• Devote yourself to heart driven worship of God.  v. 2; 2 Corinthians 8:5; John 4:23
• Worship with intensity.
• Worship together. Hebrews 10:25
• Worship through obedience. Romans 12:1

 

In Fulfilling your Mission

• Reach out to those who show an interest in God. v. 5, 7
• Questions to discern level of interest in God:
• Do you have any kind of spiritual belief?
• To you, who is Jesus?
• Do you believe there is a heaven and a hell?
• If you died right now, where would you go? If heaven, why?
• If what you believe were not true, would you want to know it?
• Share the gospel truth clearly.  v. 12
• Understand the Devil’s tactics (v. 10).
• The Devil uses deceit and deception.
• The Devil holds people in spiritual blindness. (2 Corinthians 4:4; 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
• The Devil taps into our selfish motives. 2 Timothy 4:3-4
• Stand against the enemy. v. 8; James 4:7
