Acts 11:19-30
“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses…”Acts 1:8, NIV
Jesus works through you when you:
- Approach life as a missionary for Christ. v. 19; Matthew 28:18-19
- Introduce Jesus to the people in your world. v.20
- Some talking points:
- God and Jesus are one and the same (John 10:30).
- No one can go to heaven or have a relationship with God without Jesus (John 14:6).
- Jesus Christ has power over life and death ( John 11:25).
- Everyone has sinned and failed to meet the holy standard of God (Romans 3:23).
- God does not want anyone to eternally perish but instead to repent of their sins (2 Peter 3:9).
- If you say you do not have any sin you are deceiving yourself (1 John 1:8).
- You are saved by faith in Jesus and not by all the good works you do (Ephesians 2:8-9).
- If you believe in Jesus you will be given eternal life (John 3:16).
- When you put your faith in Jesus you are given the right to become a child of God (John 1:12).
- Allow God’s grace to permeate your life. v. 23; Romans 3:23-24; Romans 15:5-7; Ephesians 4:31-32
- Live each day devoted to the Lord. v. 23; Titus 2:12; 2 Chronicles 16:9; 1 Timothy 6:9-10
- Learn God’s Truth. v. 26; Acts 2:42; Hebrews 4:12-13; Hebrews 5:11-14
- Love others by generously helping those in need. v. 29; 1 John 3:16-18; 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
