Your Condition: Dead, Deceived, Doomed

Ephesians 2:1-3

• Your condition of death is displayed in your transgressions in life. Isaiah 53:6; Leviticus 5:17
  

• Your condition of death is displayed in your sins in life. James 1:14-15

• Apart from Christ you are deceived (v. 2-3)
  

• The world deceives you into living contrary to God. Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 10:5; Colossians 2:8

• Jesus taught that God created human beings male and female (Mark 10:6).
  
• Jesus warns that we are not to fear those who kill just the body, but rather those who can kill both the body and the soul in hell (Matthew 10:28).
  
• Jesus tells us that He is the resurrection and the life. (John 11:25).
  
• Jesus teaches that people love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil (John 3:19).
  

• The devil deceives you into living contrary to God. (v. 2); John 8:44; 8:31-32; Matthew 16:23; Hebrews 11:25

• Your sin nature deceives you into living contrary to God. (v. 3)

• Your sinful nature gives you strong cravings toward sin.

• Your sinful nature gives you warped thoughts about sin.
  

• Your sinful nature gives you an emotional attachment to sin.
