Some Best Practices

Acts 16:1-15

• Team up with others. 2 Timothy 1:5; 3:14-15; Luke 16:10

• Adjust your strategies (v.3). 1 Corinthians 9:20-26
• Look for opportunities (6-15).
• Opportunities come to those who are already serving, not to those who are sitting on the sidelines.
• God sometimes leads us to the right opportunities by hindering us from the wrong ones.
• v.6 – “kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia”
• v.7 – “but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to”
• God leads usually through a progression not by an instant full revelation of the plan. Psalm 119:105
• Obedience is the key to serving God.
• v. 10 – “we got ready at once”
• When we obey, sometimes the reality does not match the vision.
• The greatest help that we can give to people is to proclaim the gospel to them.
• v. 9 - “Come over to Macedonia and help us”
• v.31 - “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be saved”
